“What is Debate?” Introductory Infosession Held at BHOS

On 6 November 2025, the BHOS Debate Club organised its first introductory infosession titled “What is Debate?” at the Senate Hall. The event aimed to familiarise students with the concept and purpose of debating as an intellectual and communicative discipline.

The session brought together students from both Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). The guest speaker from AUL shared his personal experiences in debating, elaborating on its types, principles, and the valuable skills it nurtures, which are mainly critical thinking, composure under pressure, and effective communication.

Although the event faced some unplanned challenges, the club members expresses their strong intention to organise more comprehensive and engaging debate sessions in the future.

The BHOS Debate Club extends its gratitude to all participants and hopes everyone enjoyed the experience.
